Cutting Tool Sales Engineer 

Tungaloy America is an emerging leader in the development and distribution of innovative carbide cutting tools.  Tungaloy is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in machining and cutting tool sales and applications.  The ideal candidate should have a strong account following already in these markets.  The person will represent the company in the territory that has been assigned territory and ideally, the candidate will live in this region, but other locations can be considered for the right person. Tungaloy offers a competitive salary, progressive commission and bonus program, generous benefits package, company auto and travel expenses.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work directly with end users and distributors to achieve product sales goals.
  • Provide technical service to identify customer needs, define problems, and recommend solutions while providing service after the sale.
  • Prepare and provide test data reports
  • Provide ongoing distributor training, new product updates, tool demonstrations, and promotions to distribution channel.
  • Submit sales and progress reports to Regional Management

 Work Experience and Skills:

  • BS or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in carbide and ceramic cutting tool sales to the metal working industry
  • Hands-on manufacturing knowledge specifically in the operation of CNC machine tools, programming and materials knowledge
  • Knowledge of the distributor role in stocking, promoting, and selling the company’s products within the territory
  • Excellent time management, organization, communication, and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

CSR - Shipping & Receiving - Part Time

Job Description

Tungaloy is a member of the International Metalworking Companies (IMC) Group, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.  We are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of carbide cutting tools that provide complete tooling solutions for the metal removal sectors. Tungaloy offers a wide range of turning, milling and drilling products of the highest quality, using new technologies that are aligned with customers’ demands.

We are currently hiring a part-time customer service representative/shipper & receiver for our Brantford office. This job is Monday-Friday 10am to 4pm, the position will require you to be able to fill in and cover full time hours some days (8am-5pm). We are seeking someone that can work as a team member in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent communication skills. Applicants must also be able to problem solve and multitask using prioritized time management.

CSR Responsibilities

  • Be a part of our inside sales team reporting to the office manager
  • Dealing directly with customers and our outside sales team either by phone, email or face to face
  • Build and maintain business relationships with customers by providing prompt and accurate service
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Provide quotes as required by sales team and/or customers
  • Process orders and customer requests
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions

 

Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities

  • Receiving daily incoming shipment
  • Prepare and ship products as scheduled
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy
  • Investigate any discrepancies
  • Run stock counts

 

Qualifications

  • High school or college diploma
  • Previous CSR experience
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft excel, word and outlook

-Bilingual in French is an asset
