Iwaki, May 2024— Tungaloy has expanded its TungMeister exchangeable-head milling system by adding three new metric-size milling heads and 22 new inch-size milling heads. All the new milling heads are offered in Grade AH715.
With over 13,000 possible head-shank combinations available, TungMeister offers flexible milling solutions for square shoulder milling, ball nose milling, chamfering, T-slotting, and more in various material groups. Setup time can significantly be reduced to as short as one tenth of the time it would typically take to replace solid carbide end mills for maximum productivity and cost effectiveness.
Grade AH715 combines a multilayer PVD coating and a dedicated carbide substrate with a good balance of wear and fracture resistance. With a superior resistance to wear, the grade is able to provide long, predictable tool life during high speed machining.
The expansion adds a total of 25 new milling heads, significantly increasing the inch size ranges of the following TungMeister exchangeable milling head lines: the VEE and VED square shoulder milling heads, the VCA chamfering heads, the VFX high-feed milling heads, and the VBD ball-nose milling heads.
