In non-ferrous metal machining, materials such as aluminum and resin are widely used across a range of fields, including automotive part manufacturing. TetraMini-Cut is Tungaloy’s high-performance grooving and multifunctional tooling system. It covers groove widths from 0.33 mm to 3.18 mm and groove depths up to 3.5 mm, making it ideal for shallow grooving applications ranging from small precision-component machining to general turning operations. Equipped with through-coolant holders and low cutting-force chipbreaker geometries, TetraMini-Cut delivers high productivity and excellent chip control. A wide range of grades, including CBN, is available to cover various workpiece materials. The same holder can accommodate inserts for external grooving/parting-off, face grooving, and threading operations, providing excellent versatility.
