Iwaki, Japan – September, 2024 – Tungaloy Corporation (President: Satoshi Kinoshita, Head Office: Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture) announces the expansion of its DuoForceCut series, which now includes inserts for back-turning, grooving, and threading, suitable for use on Automatic-lathes and cam-lathes.
Overview
The DuoForceCut series is a versatile indexable tool system compatible with both automatic-lathes and cam-lathes. It features standard shank sizes of 6x6mm, 7x7mm, 8x8mm, and 10x10mm. The innovative clamping mechanism allows the use of the same insert across all shank sizes from 6x6mm to 10x10mm. The unique design of the insert pocket ensures secure insert retention, resulting in excellent cutting edge position accuracy.
In addition to the existing inserts for front turning and parting, the series now includes inserts for back-turning, grooving, and threading. The grooving inserts are suitable for groove widths from 0.5mm to 1.5mm, with a maximum groove depth of 3mm. The threading inserts support thread angles of 60° and 55°. The inserts are available in the SH7025 grade, which provides excellent surface finish quality and stable long tool life in small part machining. The combination of a wear-resistant columnar TiCN coating and a multilayer TiAlN coating minimizes wear and cutting edge damage, delivering superior surface finish quality.
With these new additions, the DuoForceCut series now supports a wider range of small part machining applications, significantly enhancing productivity for users of automatic-lathes and cam-lathes.
