Tungaloy is the supplier of brakepads and clutch plates for major automobile manufacturers around the world.
Tungaloy’s friction materials are classified into two types: metallic and organic.
Due to its outstanding heat resistance, the metallic friction materials display excellent friction and wear performance under dry and high temperature, as in disk brakes.
The organic friction materials consist of resins and fibers with high heat resistance and elasticity. These products are generally utilized in oil, as in heavy-duty clutch plates.
Features
1. Friction coefficient of the brake pad materials varies depending on the use
2910, 2172A (Friction coefficient: over 0.55) – Used for front brakes of middle to large motorcycles.
2802, 2138, 2605 (around 0.5), 2161B (around 0.45) – Used for front and rear brakes of middle to large motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and MUVs.
We also provide friction materials for parking brakes with high friction coefficient.
* 2161B is superior in sand abrasion resistance and used for off-road vehicles as well.
2. Friction materials used in wet condition are categorized into two types: sintered 1020 and organic G525, G517, and P21
1020 – Used for transmissions in middle to large construction machines.
G525 – Used for transmissions in middle to large construction machines.
* G525 holds high energy absorption ratio, elasticity, and heat resistance, and is used for small-sized transmissions due to its higher durability than 1020.
