Iwaki, October 2023— Tungaloy has further expanded its AH8000 PVD grade insert series by adding ten additional sizes of RCMT-RS turning inserts.
Created using advanced physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating technology that deposits high aluminum content nano multilayer coating on the substrate, our AH8000 grade insert series offers exceptional adhesion strength between the coating and substrate. This makes it ideal for efficient turning of heat-resistant superalloys, stainless steel, and other exotic metals. The series includes two grades: Ultra-versatile, AH8015 is the first choice optimized for medium and finishing operations of parts with light interruptions. AH8005 demonstrates exceptional wear resistance during high-speed continuous cutting, providing the insert with longer, more predictable tool life.
Designed specifically for round positive inserts, our RS chipbreaker combines a sharp cutting edge with an optimized rake profile for great chip control and free cutting. In combination with the AH8000 grades, users can now reap the benefits of reliable high performance and tool life at increased feeds and speeds in difficult materials.
Ten new round insert sizes, from RCMT0602 to RCMT2507, join the existing RCMT10T3 and RCMT1204 inserts. All new inserts are available in Grades AH8005 and AH8015.
