Item issue/return and order management
- How do I issue an item?
- Scan the barcode attached on the tool case or the booklet. It will take no more than 10 seconds for you to open the drawer and issue the requested item. Tools can be allocated in terms of the components or machines with which the tools are used.
- Who can issue or return the item from/to the cabinet?
- Only the authorized personnel with valid ID can issue or return items. Secure sign-in system is available including fingerprint ID, manual password input, and magnetic card reading. It's also possible to sign in using your company ID card.
- Will "Send Order" function automatically send orders to suppliers without the user's consent?
- No. The system compares the current stock level with the required stock level and, if any stock shortage was found, will send alerts to the designated operators via email urging them to send the orders. This helps prevent the user from sending out unnecessary orders and eliminates overstocking.
- How do I store an item received from a supplier?
- Simply reading the barcode on the product will automatically open the linked bin lid. The only bin associated with the received item opens, while other bins remain locked, so you don't have to worry about putting an item in a wrong bin.
About MATRIX-TM MANAGE software
- Does the MATRIX-TM software manage only items within MATRIX cabinets?
- No. You can manage all your traditional non-automatic warehouses, open shelves, and tool cabinets without limits. We recommend you install one TOUCH version of MATRIX and attach it to the pre-existing manual cabinets to manage the inventory.
- Can MATRIX cabinets be remotely managed?
- Yes. All inventory data are linked, and you can access them real time from any PC monitor connected to the network. Multiple master cabinets deployed in different locations are connected and run off of one common database.
About analytic reports
- What reports can MATRIX-TM MANAGE Software create?
- MATRIX-TM Software can provide reports and graphs of stock valuation, usages (per job and of top 5 most-issued items), order counts created automatically, dead stock, and all KPIs that are needed for continuous improvements. Reports contents can also be customized to meet your specific needs.
- What formats are the reports created in?
- Reports can be created in an MS-Excel (.xls, xlsx), PDF (.pdf), or text (.txt) format. You can also have these reports sent automatically at scheduled times by email.
About customizing the cabinet
- Our tools are large. Can MATRIX manage them?
- MATRIX cabinets can be customized and reconfigured to tailor fit your needs and requirements. Our WIZ add-on cabinet is designed to store large items.

- We would like to try MATRIX. Where can we do that?
- Please contact your local Tungaloy representative in your country for availability of machine demonstration in Tungaloy office. Or Tungaloy's mobile stage truck can come to your premises to demonstrate MATRIX.
- We have no internal network system set up in our company. Can we still use MATRIX?
- Yes. MATRIX cabinet can be used stand-alone with no network connection.
